Programs are built around a recurring weekly schedule of private one-on-one sessions. Personalized online tutoring programs start at $280 per month, and starting programs typically include one private virtual tutoring session each week. Additional frequency and program options are available based on the student's needs, goals and scheduling.
The reason we structure it this way is practical rather than commercial. Elementary skills tend to develop through regular, repeated contact with the material. A session every few weeks produces a pleasant hour and little retention, because the student spends most of it warming back up to where they were. A consistent weekly rhythm keeps the thread intact between sessions, and for students who would benefit from more, additional frequency is available.
Starting point first
Early sessions focus on understanding where a student actually is. Grade level and skill level are frequently not the same thing, and teaching to the wrong one wastes everyone's time.

Skills are worked in the order that tends to unlock the most for that student, and revisited as they progress rather than fixed at the start.

Can we do more than one session a week?
Yes. Starting programs typically include one private virtual session each week, and more frequent tutoring is available. Some students work more intensively for a defined period — before a transition to middle school, for example, or over a summer to focus on a specific skill. Recommended frequency may vary depending on the student's needs and goals, and is discussed during the complimentary consultation.
The recommendation comes out of the consultation and early sessions, and it can change in either direction. If a student is moving faster than expected, we would rather say so than keep a standing appointment that has stopped earning its place in the week.
