A few of those answers genuinely do differ by state — the clock is not the same everywhere, the drive to anything is much longer in some places than others, and the early grades are not even named the same way from one state to the next.

How much does online tutoring cost?

How do time zones work?

This matters more than families expect, and not for the reason they expect. The constraint is rarely the clock difference itself — it is that a tired child at the end of a long day does not learn much. Part of the conversation is finding a slot where your child still has something left to give.
